Two Types of Commercial HVAC Inspections

We offer two types of commercial HVAC inspections to help facility managers identify what is happening inside their system and determine the appropriate next step.

1. HVAC Cleanliness Inspection

A commercial HVAC cleanliness inspection evaluates the internal condition of the system to determine whether dust, debris, biological buildup, or other contaminants may be affecting system cleanliness, airflow, or indoor air quality.

Depending on the system and facility, we may inspect:

Air ducts and interior duct surfaces
Air handlers and blower compartments
Cooling and heating coils
Drain pans
Supply and return components
Fresh-air and ventilation components
Accessible internal HVAC surfaces

We document observed conditions with photographs and provide clear findings so you can determine whether cleaning is actually needed and which components should be addressed.

A cleanliness inspection can be especially valuable when you are experiencing excessive dust, odors, indoor air quality concerns, visible contamination, or when you simply need to establish the current condition of the HVAC system.

2. HVAC Performance Inspection

A commercial HVAC performance inspection looks beyond whether the equipment is running and evaluates how well the system is actually operating.

Depending on the equipment and conditions, our technicians may evaluate and document measurements such as:

System static pressure
Pressure drop across coils or filters
Temperature differential
Airflow conditions
Superheat and subcooling
Coil condition and heat-transfer restrictions
Other operating measurements relevant to system performance

These measurements can help identify airflow restrictions, dirty coils, reduced capacity, excessive system resistance, or other conditions that may be affecting comfort, efficiency, or equipment operation.
